Ticket policies

At any given performance during our season, there will be several sets of tickets made as member reservations which are not picked up from the box office. In many instances, it is during a sold-out performance, and we have walk-ins waiting to purchase tickets, however, we are unable to resell those tickets, since we have no way of knowing if the patrons are simply running late or do not intend to attend. It is difficult to explain to people wanting tickets why we can’t give them the two empty seats in the middle of Row D. Because of this continuing situation, the Board of Directors approved the following policy at the June 5, 2006, Board meeting:

If a season ticket holder makes a reservation but does not pick up or use their tickets that evening without informing the box office at least one hour prior to curtain, there will be no exchanges of those tickets for another performance. Since the theatre has met its obligation to provide tickets for that production, ticket holders may purchase tickets for another performance.

We also request that calendars be checked before making reservations. Please note -- there will be no exchanges within 72 hours of any performance regardless of donor status, unless deemed an emergency by SCT staff. It is imperative that we be given time to resell any tickets which become available, and in many instances, are unable to do so if exchanges are made within that 72-hour window. We appreciate your help and cooperation in solving this dilemma.

SCT policy does not allow children or infants under the age of 5 to attend our productions EXCEPT certain children's productions. Children 3 and up will be allowed to attend these productions. Under no circumstances are children under the age of three or infants, permitted to attend an SCT production. We also require children or groups of children under the age of 10 to be accompanied by an adult, who must also possess a reserved seat ticket. We do not allow children to sit on laps.

If Salina Community Theatre is holding your ticket at the box office and you are going to be later than curtain time, please call the box office to instruct us to HOLD your ticket. If we have not received such a call, SCT reserves the right to resell your ticket FIVE MINUTES after the announced curtain time. If your ticket is resold, you may consider the cost of that ticket a tax-deductible contribution.

Telephone reservations for cash tickets will require a valid credit card number. Your card will be charged for the amount of the ticket and any applicable handling fees at that time. We can not hold these charges to be picked up at a later date.

Refund/Exchange Policies: There are NO REFUNDS. Exchanges can be made up to 72 hours prior to the performance. After that, there will be no exchanges. There is a $5 per ticket, up to $20, service fee for exchanged tickets. Donors are still welcome to exchange tickets free of charge.

All tickets reserved over the internet are final. No exchanges can be made.
