In this romantic and funny "waltz" of a musical, the middle-aged Fredrick dreams of a happy life with his very young, 19 year-old bride.  Alas, the course of true love in his life is even more complicated when his ex-lover, the famous actress Desiree Armfeldt, decides to invite the unhappy couple to her estate for a "Weekend in the Country."  Assorted friends and lovers arrive unexpectedly, turning this into one of the merriest and most delightful musical evenings in the theatre.  Music includes the delightful Weekend in the Country and the popular and poignant Send in the Clowns.
