My Fair Lady
Book & Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner | Music by Frederick Loewe
This show is the standard by which all others are measured. Based on Shaw's play and Pascal's movie Pygmalion, with book, music and lyrics by Lerner and Loewe, My Fair Lady is triumphant. With Wouldn't It Be Loverly?, With a Little Bit of Luck, The Rain in Spain, I Could Have Danced All Night, On the Street Where You Live, Get Me to the Church on Time and I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face it's no wonder everyone -- not just Henry Higgins -- falls in love with Eliza Doolittle.

The Good Doctor
By Neil Simon
This Broadway hit is a composite of Neil Simon and Anton Chekhov. In one sketch a harridan storms a bank and upbraids the manager for his gout and lack of money. In another, a father takes his son to a house where he will be initiated into the mysteries of sex, only to relent at the last moment and leave the boy more perplexed than ever. In another sketch, a crafty seducer goes to work on a wedded woman, only to realize that the woman has been in command from the first overture. Let us not forget the classic tale of a man who offers to drown himself for three rubles. The stories are droll, the portraits affectionate, the humor infectious and the fun unending.

The hit of the 1997 Broadway season in a production that originated at City Center's Encore! series of Great American Musicals in Concert, Chicago won six Tony awards including Best Revival. In razzle dazzle, roaring twenties Chicago, married chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover. Roxie and another murderess on death row vie for the spotlight and the headlines, hoping the publicity will catapult them to fame, freedom and successful stage careers. This sharp edged murder, exploitation and treachery features a dazzling score that sparked, in the original production, some immortal choreography by Bob Fosse.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
by Dale Wasserman
Kirk Douglas played on Broadway as a charming rogue who contrives to serve a short sentence in an airy mental institution rather in a prison. This, he learns, was a mistake. He clashes with the head nurse, a fierce artinet. Quickly, he takes over the yard and accomplishes what the medical profession has been unable to do for twelve years; he makes a presumed deaf and dumb Indian talk. He leads others out of introversion, stages a revolt so that they can see the world series on television, and arranges a rollicking midnight party with liquor and chippies. For one offense, the head nurse has him submit to shock treatment. The party is too horrid for her and she forces him to submit to a final correction a frontal lobotomy. Winner of the 2001 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Revival.
